Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ATSify: Resume Builder & CV (“the App”) handles information when you use this Android application. The App is developed by Athira C P, an individual developer based in India (“I”, “me”, “my”).

The App lets you create ATS-friendly resumes, choose templates, preview and export as PDF, and share the PDF with other apps. All resume data is stored only on your device; we do not run a backend server for resume content.

1. Information We Collect

Resume data (stored only on your device)

• Information you enter in the app: name, contact details, profession, summary, skills, work experience, education, projects, and certifications.
• This data is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on our servers.

Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics)

• We use Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting. It may collect: device model and OS version, app version, crash stack traces, and similar technical data needed to diagnose and fix issues.
• This does not include the content of your resumes.

Ad-related data (Google AdMob)

• The app may display ads via Google AdMob when this feature is enabled. Google may collect or use data for ad serving, such as advertising ID, device identifiers, and general app usage data, in accordance with Google’s advertising policies and your choices (e.g. consent collected via our consent form where required). We do not receive your resume content; ad targeting is handled by Google.

We do not collect: account or login data (the app does not require registration). We do not share your resume content with any third party.

2. How We Use Information

• Resume data: Used only within the app on your device to build, edit, preview, and export your resumes as PDF (and to share the PDF via your chosen apps). We do not access or use this data elsewhere.
• Crashlytics data: Used to understand and fix crashes and improve app stability. This data is processed by Google as described in Firebase’s terms and privacy policy.
• Ad-related data: Used by Google to serve and measure ads. Where required by law (e.g. EEA/UK), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before showing personalized ads; you can change your choices via the consent form or Google’s ad settings.

3. Data Storage and Security

Resume data is stored locally on your device using the app’s private storage (including local database and app-private files). It is not uploaded to our servers or to any third party for storage. If you have device backup enabled (e.g. Google Backup), your device may include app data in backups; we do not access those backups.

You can delete all resume data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s data in your device settings. Exported PDFs that you save to Downloads or share are under your control and are not sent to us.

If we use Crashlytics, that data is transmitted over the internet to Google’s servers and is subject to Google’s security practices and privacy policy. Ad-related data is processed by Google (AdMob) in accordance with Google’s privacy policy and your consent choices.

4. Third-Party Services

Firebase Crashlytics — We use Firebase Crashlytics (Google) for crash reporting. It may collect device information, app version, and crash logs. This helps us fix bugs and improve the app. Crashlytics does not receive your resume content. For more information, see:

Google AdMob — The app may show ads provided by Google AdMob when this feature is enabled. Google may collect or use data (e.g. advertising ID, device information) for ad serving and measurement. Where required (e.g. EEA), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before requesting ads. You can manage ad personalization via Google’s account ad settings: adssettings.google.com. For details, see How Google uses data in advertising.

We do not use Firebase Analytics. We do not share your resume content with any third party.

5. Data Retention

• Resume data: Retained only on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Crashlytics data: Retained according to Google’s policies. We use it only as long as needed to analyze and fix issues.
• Ad-related data: Retained and processed by Google (AdMob) as described in Google’s privacy policy and ad settings.

6. User Rights

You may:

• Access, edit, or delete your resume data at any time within the app or by clearing app data.
• Uninstall the app to remove all local resume data and stop further collection of crash and ad-related data.
• Contact us at athiracp.official@gmail.com with questions or requests about your data. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have additional rights (e.g. access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) under applicable data protection laws.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at athiracp.official@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may notify you in the app or via other reasonable means.

App Permissions

The App requests only the permissions needed for its features:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — Used to show a notification when your resume PDF has been saved to Downloads (e.g. “Resume saved”). This permission is optional: you can deny it and still create, edit, export, and share resumes; the app will not show the download-complete notification.
• INTERNET — Used for crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) and, when enabled, for loading ads (Google AdMob).
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Used to check network availability for crash reporting and, when enabled, for ads.
• AD_ID (Android 13+) — Used when the app shows ads (Google AdMob) for advertising ID in regions where permitted; consent is collected where required (e.g. EEA).

Export and sharing use the Android system (e.g. MediaStore, FileProvider) to save or share PDFs; we do not request broad storage permissions for normal use.
